I just got done ordering my dv6500t the other day, and I got it with 2GB of RAM since it was only 25$. Any way I was wondering if I would see better performance from the 2x1GB sticks since there DDR2 or 1x1GB stick and 1x2GB stick to give my 3GBs?

If your a heavy user, and use many programs at one time, the 3 GB total RAM will be much more beneficial than using two modules of 1 GB density. Using two such memory modules, results in the RAM beig set in dual channel mode, which increases bandwidth. However, the amount of RAM is usually more important than the activity of dual channel.
