    Hello Guys,

I have an Acer Aspire vn7-591g-77A9
with a kingston 128gb SSD and 1TB HDD, the upgrade i want to make is to remove the kingston m.2 sata ssd and get a faster one, which one do you recommend for higher speeds?

Check my speeds below , also have in mind that i want 240/250/256 GB for my next SSD

    Thanks.

The one I would recommend is a 2.5" form factor and not an M.2.

If you want to buy new, your two choices are Crucial MX200 and Samsung 850 EVO.

If you don't have a brand preference, reviews generally peg the 850 as performing better.

And when consistency and high performance counts (along with lower latency for most aspects...), the 2.5" format SanDisk Extreme Pro trumps the 256GB 850 EVO mSATA. And that is worth paying a little more in slightly higher power consumption during idle (an idling notebook doesn't mean anything in my use cases...).

Use it in an external enclosure and make your notebook effectively shock proof when it is not connected to the HDD. :)
