Hey folks, as the title mentions it, I have a Compal JHL90 and want to put a Samsung 830 128GB SSD in it to speed it up a bit until I buy a new laptop a year from now.

I know it is a 2.5" SATA but which type is it? I, II, III? I don't see it mentioned anywhere on the laptop, HDD, System info etc.

    Cheers.

it's sata3, but it's backward compatible with older sata modes.

That is a good drive, if the price is right, go for it.

Thanks Ivan for the fast response, I am about to go buy it. It is 144 euros for the 128GB, the lowest it has been.

    Cheers!

so you're in europe, than yes, considering our prices that would also be my choice/recommendation for all around usage.
