I've heard good comments about the NEC burner on Newegg.

In my local shop www.directron.com , they have the Pioneer one, has any one use it yet? I hope it's good.

If i buy from Directron , the price is about the same same with Newegg after shipping.

I had one on my V3000. It seemed OK, but a external desktop drive is better.

Like ZaZ said, you're probably better off getting an external burner because it'll burn much faster than any slim DVD burner. Nowadays, in my opinion, you really can't go wrong as long as you stick with a name brand burner.
