    Hello,

I'm looking for a laptop whith good cooling, skylake, ssd (+hdd), discrete GC (950/960 are enough) for less than 1000€ if possible. Any ideas ?

I'm not in a hurry, I'm trying to make up my mind about the best cases (ventilation, durability) in this segment.

    http://www.ceg-hardcorecustom.com/product/ceg-clevo-n150rf

This has a 965M and Skylake...

    http://www.ceg-hardcorecustom.com/product/ceg-clevo-n150rd

    Skylake and 960M..

Personally I would save a bit more and get one with 970M... The 960M/965M are much weaker and only slightly cheaper compared to the 970M machines...

There is this great deal too: http://www.ceg-hardcorecustom.com/product/ceg-clevo-p655se

It's Haswell but you get a 4870HQ + 970M and excellent cooling.. It's around 1100 euros but worth the extra 100...The 4870HQ is much better then 6700HQ...Nothing so great about the 6700HQ and Skylake tbh...

Well, I get you point for the 970M.
I'm not playing much games, as far as I'm concerned, it's mainly LOL. Tell me if I'm wrong but even an older/worse GC than 960M could do the job ? I'd like to have a fast laptop (ssd, cpu and 8GB of ram) for the everyday tasks and if possible a laptop that can last some years (the GC does not need to be high end, I use a 4670 that is still doing the job I need :) )
Is there a machine that can have good CPU, correct GPU, SSD, windows, good cooling under 1000€ ? Those Clevo n150 are really attractive (I'm very tempted to get 1 but it's quite expensive...). Considering my view about CPU/GPU and cooling, would it be better to get the n150 or the p655 ? In fact, I use notebookcheck a lot to look at the reviews, but I can't find a review of the p655, do you have any reviews about it ?

And last but not least, about those Clevo, do they come with the windows factory reset from a hidden part of the SSD/HDD (like branded machines like asus etc have) ?

The P655 is based on the Clevo P650SE/SG series... It's got pretty good cooling and on the whole is a superior system compared to the N series... I would personally get the P655 if I had to pick between the 2... Also the 970M is much more futureproof for a slightly more... DDR3 and 4870HQ are still very good and the only advantage of Skylake is slightly more battery life... Not worth the reduction in performance to get the Skylake notebooks IMO...

Well thank you for your advice !

Do you have any information on my previous question about factory reset ?

The p655 case is identical to P650 or P651 (or it is a rework of one of those) ?

The Clevo's don't come with a factory reset partition etc... They usually don't come with a HDD etc... You have to install the OS on your own along with drivers etc which are provided to you... No bloat that way :)

I would consider the 970m over the 960m or 965m simply because it's a much cooler running component.

I have a 15" gigabyte that idles at a scarily high temp even with aftermarket cooling. Honestly, 965's shouldnt even be allowed in 15" frames imo.
