I cannot find this info anywhere. I hope it is not a sandforce as I have the X1 on my shortlist of laptops.

I have a spare Intel 160 that may fit, if it is not a m-SATA connector. Thanks, Dave

    Cape,

The X1 only allows 7mm zHeight drives to be installed. Your spare Intel 160 may not fit? (I have a few, but do they have spacers? Lol...).

    Hope this helps?

Thanks Tiller, that helps. I am going to read the review now. Since this is a laptop for portable use, I am not as concerned over speed as I would be for a main work machine. I have a new Samsung 830 in my main machine that, ironically, is 7mm :) I think. I mainly just wanted to know what brand the SSD is ion the X1. Maybe the review will tell me. Samsung? Toshiba?
