I'm looking on Newegg for 2GB of Dual-Channel RAM for my Dell e1705. Here are my choices: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...309121117+1309221136&name=DDR2+667+(PC2+5300).
I don't think I'll get the mushkin as I've never even heard of that company. So, of the others which is the best?

The best brand is the one thats called "on sale"
-
Alright, let me rephrase, which would you put in your notebook?

To be honest, I'd agree with stamar. Notebook memory is probably the least overclocked because of its poor cooling design. Not only that, but your memory timings probably won't be slowing your notebook down. Even with the newer Santa Rosa cores supporting 800MHz, you won't see a noticable difference from 533MHz to 800MHz.
G.Skill, Patriot, Corsair, PNY, Mushkin, Geil, Kingston, Samsung, Crucial, and even Hynix would be acceptable. I know I'm missing a lot more, but just make sure you do a little research on the company's warranties. Almost all carry a lifetime warranty.
Right now I have 2x1GB G.Skill DDR2-667 200-pin in my laptop. -
Thanks for the reply, I think I'll either get the Corsair or the G.Skill. I've always had good luck with Corsair so I'll probably end up with that.

Notebook memory is never overclocked.
It comes from fewer sources than desktop brand.
The only difference between the brands is warranty, and potentially defects and longevity.
But it all performs the same.
I have ocz, but the 1 gb i bought is probably made by the exact same company the kingston is, and the patriot , or the rams r us brand. You are not spending your money wisely getting a brand name unless its very close. -
I'm pretty much decided on the Corsair, which is one of the cheaper ones on Newegg right now anyway.
Which brand of notebook memory should I get?
