The title asks everytihng. Are these cpus compatible?
    C2D T7700
    C2D x7800
    C2D T9300
    C2D T9400
    C2D T8300
And which one of these would be a decent upgrade from my t8100 for gaming use at decent price? Im not looking forward to buy from newegg, tigerdirect, etc. Maybe on ebay and stuff.
Also are there any quad cores that are compatible with my setup??

t7700 , X7800 , T9300 , T8300 are the compatible ones but the best to use is T9300(2.53GHz , 800MHz FSB , 6MB L2 cache )... its cheap and will run cool... but won't help much in games.. the 3450 is too weak... anyways , quads will not work at all..

Well yea but games that even runs on intel gma graphics card will benefit with the cpu upgrade right? Source games. And im leaningg more towards the x7800 cause i found a good deal with it. How big is the difference between
    x7800 and the t9300?

also can somebody tell me how big the difference is between the T7700,
    x7800 and T9300

They are aprox the same, the T9300 having the edge in power consumption and it is cooler. I would opt for the T9300 myself, I had an X7800 and it ran very hot.

For under 100$ both of these cpus are steal right? And as i asked before how does T7700 compare to T9300 and X7800. Its really hard to find a T9300 at a good low price thats why im leaning more towards the x7800

just found T9400 for around like 100$, Is this a good deal? How does this compare to T9300 and X7800??
EDIT: Oh wait is this compatible with my setup??

really fast answer needed is T9400 compatible wiht my setup??/

no it will not work.. T9400 is a 1066MHz FSB CPU and since u have PM965 chipset , only T9300, T9500 will work as they're 800MHz FSB.... seriously , stay away from X series... they will run hot... even with mods... T9300 or T9500 is what u want to get...

Well i found the x7800 for a really cheap price and i really can't go over 100$ and i cant find any t9300 or t9500 that are sub 100$. And what do you mean by "hot"? Like how hot?

Like "very hot". Probably about 10C hotter at idle and load.

actually u might brick ur laptop when doing this upgrade... 1 person with an XPS1530M tried it and his laptop had a ton of problems and screen , mobo became spoilt... ur really better off with something else... and most proabably run 10-20C hotter easily...
