    Hi, lovely people! :)
I am pondering about buying Inspiron 17R SE and slamming in an SSD (240-256GB) in order to get the maximum performance and user experience out of it (esp. compared to my laptop now that has 5400rpm with 80/70 speeds :D) ...
NOW, I have been reading a lot of reviews and articles about SSDs... Of course, it is hard to pinpoint which particular brand/series SSD is "the best"... some say OCZ (the new one, Vector), others swear by samsung 830 and 840 Pro, while Plextor M5P extreme seems to be black horse, too... not to mention other names, lower priced 256GB options, whose defendants say, will provide the same experience in the real world, while saving us money..
Therefore, I am utterly confused... :)
At first I was checking read/write speeds, but apparently 4k speeds are more important if the snappy OS operation is the prime objective... I game occasionally, just few shooters, play with foto and video, browse internet and experiment with Linux distros...
    Any tips and pointers?

Hmmm, well 17r should support those, it is one of the newer laptops...
