There are several options there, and I am overwhelmed. I guess my main questions would be
1) What brand?
2) Are any of these Vista-compatible? I'm confused by their description.
Or should I just go with this one

I'd suggest going for a Vantec or Nextar enclosure.

I've got this one. It worked pretty well, although, it was confusing because there are two usb connectors. Apperently, one is to power the hard drive, and one is to transfer data. Goodluck!
Edit: Reviews say it works with vista 32 and 64, but i've only used it for xp pro 32 -
I currently have 2 Vantec Nexstar 3's one Sata and one IDE both have worked great since i got them with no issue and are compatible with Vista.I also Have the Vantec Nexstar DX 5.25" optical drive enclosure.I think the Vantecs are some of the best out there.

Okay, I think I've narrowed it to three:

I'm leaning towards the middle one. What do you guys think? -

Oh, that makes sense, hydra. Thanks.
Soooo, just to confirm, does this:
Hehe. Just found the NBR review on it.
Ok, so I think I've locked in on the middle one, but I'm still not positive it supports Vista.
But this review here seems to indicate it does...
So I think I'll chance it. Last chance for anyone to say otherwise!
Thanks for all your help, everyone.
Wow, this has grown into a big post.
Ok, news is that I bought it and it works!!! Thanks again, everyone.
Which external enclosure to buy!?
