I dont have any reviews to support my opinion, but the Seagate 7200.4 will be faster than the WD5000BEVT. If the price difference between the two is not large, better to go for the Seagate. You can checkout reviews and comparison at Anandtech and Tomshardware to compare their surface temperatures and noise.

For the same price and same capacity, go with the faster 7200RPM drive.

Where are you buying this machine? If you are in the U.S., you can get the WD5000BEVT for $94.99 with free shipping from Newegg:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136314&Tpk=wd5000bevt
    (price as of Jul 14)

I bought one two weeks ago and installed it in my HP - nearly silent with no clicking, and close to a 60MB/s average transfer rate in HDTune. I use Western Digital drives exclusively; four reside in my desktop, and one has always been in my laptops for the last several years.
