The title says it all. Which one do YOU think is better and please post reasons.

Intel is better right now, cause they have better performance. But seriuosly, don't we have like tons of these threads? Do we really need another one?

I don't need to say why 'I' think it is better, just check the specs on both cpu brand models and you will immediatly see the considerable difference.
Sure, both have similar clock speeds, but intel pwns AMD on cache, FSB, power consumption, and voltage lvl.

AMD doesn't use a front side bus (FSB) so how intel pwns them there I don't know. Actually FSB is inferior to AMDs hypertransport (this is also why intel wants to move away from the ageing FSB technology). As for voltage mobile AMDs on the market right now (turion X2s) use less voltage than Intel's core series of processors they can also at idle go down to 0.8v No intel core series processor can even reach that level and still remain stable. Also AMDs were never designed to be high cache processors (however AMDs usually have twice the L1 cache when compared to Intels) but you are right Intel does beat AMD when it comes to power consumption and processing speed.

Anyway I agree with fabarati we have more than enough threads like these on the boards already there was no need to start this one! You could have posted here in the Intel or AMD thread.
