A 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or a 2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz?
This seems like it may be an easy question but i don't know much about computers so a nice quick answer is all i need, thank you.
And actually if any of you know, for whichever one is faster/better, how much faster/better is it?

i7-2670QM will smoke any Core 2 Duo. It's probably at least twice as powerful in any given task, if not a LOT more.
Just as a quick comparison with Passmark
i7-2760QM score 6801 http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-2670QM+@+2.20GHz
P7450 Core 2 Duo score 1568 http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Duo+P7450+@+2.13GHz
and from Notebookcheck:

The i7-2670QM is much faster. Probably by 3-10x, depending on what you're doing.
