    But the sales rep appears to completely contradict the info on the specifications tab of the Studio XPS 16 page.

    I know that, and you know that, but unfortunately Dell sales reps don't know that!

    Seriously, as incompetent as Dell's sales reps have been throughout this whole thing, I am not certain I would even consider a Dell

    thats weird, normally the business sales team is better than the home sales. which country are you in?

    well some people really cant stand the look of the thinkpad. its design was inspired by the japanese bento box (a kind of lunch box).

    from the IBM days till today the design and research centre is still in yamato, japan.

    its an excellent piece of engineering, but most consumers prefer style over good engineering lol.
