    Hi,

I bought a pavilion dv5000 from Costco less than a year ago. I have been trying to find which memory modules will work with this model without much success. I have tried various website (e.g., newegg or even HP) to determine which memory modules will work but none of them mention this particular model.

My first guess was that that this model name is specific to Costco but I see references to this model name on many websites (e.g., a review at Cnet: http://reviews.cnet.com/HP_Pavilion_dv5000z_Turion_64_2_2GHz/4507-3121_7-31727903.html?tag=sub) so this has to be a valid number. If anyone else has successfully addded RAM to this laptop, I would appreciate hearing about it.

    Hi,
Try CPU-Z, available from http://www.cpuid.com that'll tell you all the information you need.

You need DDR400 or DDR333 (that is Pc3200 or PC2700), max 2gb RAM
The faster RAM will help the Turion CPU!
