    Which processor is faster:

    An AMD Turion X2 TL-56 1.8 GHz
    or
    An Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz

    Not only is the c2d a slightly more powerful cpu overall, it has a higher clockspeed in this case.

    Thus there is no question, the c2d is the faster processor.

    Now if that tx2 was around 2.1~2.2GHz, then they would be even.

    If you don't do a lot of cpu intensive stuff, go for the TL-56 if its cheaper
