I'm buying a laptop for university, and I need help with knowing what to get. I'll probably mainly use it for word, excel, power point, web stuff and I also do a bit of video editing.
For £40 ($60) I can get a:
Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T4200 (2.0GHz, 800MHz, 1MB cache)
And for £110 ($180) I can get a:
Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor T6400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache)
So basically I know very little about processors and want to know whether the second processor is worth the extra money.
I'm also looking at Dell laptops, is this a good idea?
thanks for any help, you'll be saving my life, kind of...

Yes it is worth the extra money. Especially if you're doing video editing.
There's nothing wrong with a Dell. If you can get a business version all the better. -
Agree with f4ding here: Go for T6400. You will need this if you want to do some video editing.

I dont agree with triple the price but your going to want it. I would look at other laptops because thats a bit to expensive in my book for a slightly better cpu.
Which processor to get?
