I hate to make this thread again, sorry! I couldn't find the old one and I remember there being vague answers "Any dual core, maybe a quad core"
I'm curious if a quad core would work with the motherboard.
Here's what speccy has to say about my motherboard:
Motherboard
Manufacturer Sony Corporation
Model VAIO
Version A222HTF5
Chipset Vendor Intel
Chipset Model Havendale/Clarkdale Host Bridge
Chipset Revision 02
Southbridge Vendor Intel
Southbridge Model HM55

BIOS
Brand American Megatrends Inc.
Version R0300Y8

oh crazy, I thought I had it under another title. =p well no point posting in that one and having two topics on this page.
-
you can find it easy way by go to your profile or search by your user name
.

Didn't know that =p I'm not used to this forum I guess. Thanks.
But >_> I still need the question answers lol the other topic didn't answer it really because it was "maybe quad cores" and they kinda changes things if I can get a quad core lol -
If it doesn't have discrete graphics, it cannot run a quad core. You are good to go with any dual core though.

It has discrete graphics. ATI 5650.
