    What about Notebook Hardware Control (was CHC), Everest Ultimate 2.81 b and Speed Fan 4.29?
    I guess it depends on time devoted to learning useage & how involved you want to get, changing fan speeds etc.
    NOTE: NHC requires .Net 2.0 framework be loaded prior to.

    If you've got a Dell 17" notebook, I'd recommend i8kfangui. If not, I couldn't tell ya.
