it's up to you and your needs. If you have a lot of multimedia files go for the 320gb.
CPU wise if both from the sme family, with the same cache and FSB you wont really notice the difference

    What are the CPU's numbers?

2.16Ghz sounds like an older generation.

    My guess T7200 and T7400 65nm 4MBL2 TDP 34w or T2500 and T2600 65nm 2MBL2 TDP 31w. And I am almost sure T7200/T7400.

I would get T7200 and 320GB. If all else the same and cost is the same.

The T7200/T7400 are too old now for new notebooks.

    I would say the T5750 (2.0GHz) and the T5850 (2.16GHz)....Both have 2MB L2 Cache and 667MHz Bus Speed.
    (SOCKET P; 65nm)

Would go for the 2.0GHz (T5750) and the 320GB HDD.

If there is a cheaper option for the HDD, I would go for that, as one can upgrade the HDD much easily.

Andy good call on CPU I need a refresher course. I can't wait for Intel to run out of numbers. I feel like they must be close.
