    1. Core Duo 1.6 ghz with 512mb. of RAM

    or

    2. Core Solo 1.86 ghz. with 2gb. of RAM

    Core Solo with 2 gb of ram.

    Edit: Mehhh if you could upgrade then I would take the Core Duo, but 2gb of ram is muchhh better performance than the 512 mb, but performance wise the core solo with 2gb would be better

    I would take the first one because the RAM is certainly much easier to upgrade and cost less at the aftermarket places.

    the first one would be better, as you have more financial stability with buying cheaper RAM, than paying alot for a CPU.

    I guess it would depend on what you are doing. Memory is much easier to upgrade.

    the duo and easily upgrade RAM later - best of both options.

    As long as the BIOS supports it yes because its based on Yonah and Napa.

    I'd get the first one, however if your future income/budgeting means you cna't upgrade ram later, then get the 2nd
