Sorry if this is the wrong area, but I guess it kinda works here.
Anyway, is this for laptops or mostly just desktops?
Thanks, links for either laptop or desktop if possible![]()

That resolution is for standard-screen displays, as opposed to widescreen displays, and most notebooks nowadays are widescreen so its not that commonly found
.
I wouldn't say "no notebook"...as its very possible somewhere in the world there is. But yeah, its not a common one.

Awesome laptops Notebook Evangelist
no laptops come with this res only desktop monitors come with this thankyou and have a nice day.

The closest laptop resolution you will find is 1280 x 800 resolution. I have that on my Dell E1505, and it is great. I kinda wish I spent a little more and got the 1680 x 1050 res.
The resolution you are looking for is a standard desktop resolution, which you can only get on older laptops. Their screens look square rather than widescreen. My Voodoo M360 is like that, only it has 1400 x 1080 resolution

more than what you bargain for

Mabey some Lenovos they still have some standard screens.
-
The Lenovo T61 14.1 inchers, and X61's still have standard aspect screens.
Look around in business lines. That would be your best shot. -
Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Dell still sells a single standard aspect 15" machine:
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=04&kc=6W300&l=en&oc=blcwnfc&s=bsd
Only has XGA and SXGA+ though; no regular SXGA.
I think a good number of tablet PC computers still come with XGA or SXGA+ as well. -
1280x1024 isn't a 4:3 resolution (it's 5:4), so you you will never find it on a laptop.
-
Its just not practical to make a laptop with a native reso of 4:3.. it ll be too Squarish
-
my dad has an old dell thats 1280 x 1024 res. It is a 15.1 inch screen too.
-
My compaq evo n800c had a 1280x1024 aspect ratio. i was running on 16xx or something like that however..but it was there
Who makes laptops with a 1280x1024 resolution?
