TweakTown.com has a new review of the "Seagate 600 Pro 200GB 2-Drive SSD RAID Report" showing the clear benefits of OPing an SSD using their Consistency Test. Notice the performance of the OPed single drive too. I can see tilleroftheearth beating his chest now.![]()

What is 2D R0? I don't understand what the heck they're trying to do. Looks like a bunch of synthetics run for the sake of running.

Great article Bullrun,
too bad they didn't test the SanDisk Extreme II's all the way through...
Next time someone asks me why to OP by 30% or more or why the Samsung 840 Pro feels laggy to me, they can look at this thread and see why:
And, it's interesting to note that a heavy PS usage workload is where the 840 Pro falls on it's face (which is where I live and breathe 80% of the time I'm on a 'real' system). -
It has always been suggested, recommended, mandatory to manually OP the Samsung 840 Pro - as there is none built-in, accounted for.
The Seagate 600 Pro has it built-in and accounted for, and at a price 44% higher.
Things are getting better.
But OP is, and remains still - that important. -
Hopefully, the next gen Pro will be more well rounded. EVO seems to be, within it's SLC emulation.
