I've been asking around about AMD laptops and the vast majority of people have told me I made a very unwise choice buying an athlon x2 laptop.
Some have said I can expect the laptop to fry within a year or less.
Are these people right?
People have said the new APU processors AMD are releasing will make AMD laptop worthy, but the turon and athlon line are the worst choices a person could make.
Perhaps someone here can explain to me why I made the wrong choice?
Why do people assume they fry/die so quickly?
My processor is the AMD P340 2.2GHz Dual Core Processor
I am not trying to troll, this is a genuine question.

You already asked this question.

Older AMD processors ran hot and less efficiently than Intel ones. They also had less P-states than Intel ones.
Anyway, thread closed since this has been addressed in the other thread you started.
Why does AMD get such bad press?
