    Why does CPU-Z list conflicting info?

    On my new Sager when I open up CPU-Z, it lists the CPU name as
    "Intel Core i7 2720QM"
    But it lists the Specification as
    "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7- 2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz"

    Why would it list two different processors?

    download HWINFO64 and get a second opinion. It could be nothing, as it could be just CPUz not being updated yet

    Interestingly, HWinfo lists both as the i7 2670. Weird.

    the similarity is that both the 2670 and 2720 have a rated speed of 2.2ghz non-turbo so something could be up with that
