    Why does hard drive enclousre have size limit?

    Well if it only supports 2.5" 9.5mm height HDDs, then the 1TB HDD won't fit. Else, it will work just fine.

    It is likely that the controller the drive uses is only programmed to support up to that size of hard drive.

    1TB drives even if 2.5 inch will be 12.7mm in height... so basically u can't use the enclosure as it is 9mm height... a 750GB 9.5mm drive will work...
