I have replaced the slow ssd 8GB on my Acer aspire one with a 32GB 600x speed through a CF to ZIF adapter and installed Windows Xp sp3. But it takes one day to complete the installation and after that, the windows is running so slowly that it takes a life to open and use the applications. I have seen on youtube running so fast even on 200x CF cards. How can I make it to run fast, or which is the best way to install windows Xp on a CF card?

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Did you buy a SLC or MLC CF? I know MLC does not run OS installs well, it is all choppy. SLC CF are almost mainstream SSD fast (in terms of snappiness).

It is a SLC compact flash card that I bought on Amazon.com (Duracell High Speed 32 GB 600X USB 2.0 Compact Flash Card Card UDMA DU-CF6032G-C). I have done a read/write speed test and the results are 23/10 mb/s from 90/45 mb/s pretended by company. I have seen a dell netbook with a 8bg SSD with 4-5mb/s write spead loading 3-4 times faster the win Xp. First time I installed the windows with NTFS and was terribly slow, when I installed it with Fat32 system the speed was improved somehow. How is possible that windows is working so slow in a 600x speed card?

tilleroftheearth Wisdom listens quietly...
600x speed card is only for sequential reads/possibly writes (and even then, it's only theoretical 600x 150KB/s or the speed of an average 5400RPM drive...).
A CF card used for O/S will not last long... (Media cards are meant for user initiated writes, not O/S initiated writes).
Good luck.
Why is running so slowly Win Xp on a CF 600x?
