Someone, please explain to me, why it is necessary to make a bunch of 4GB files in the root folder and then delete them during "Performance optimization"(manual TRIM)?

It's not using trim, it's re-arranging you files on the disk. It actually says that right on that screen. Trim happens behind the scenes, you don't need to do anything manual. That tool is for older non-trim SSDs/OSes.
