    Couple questions regarding widi,

    -Can it drive two monitors?
-Do you lose wifi connection when using it?

Widi is a Wireless Display technology from Intel that allows you to send your laptop display to an HDTV or projector. The main purpose is to display HD content such as movies to a larger screen, I.E., HDTV. It uses your wifi network to do this, so no you don't lose wifi while its working.

It requires a receiver which you connect to your HDTV to receive the audio / video signal such as the Netgear Push2tv.

You can read about it here at Intel's site: Laptop to TV with Intel® Wireless Display (WiDi)

If I understand this correctly it's a deal breaker. It only clones the laptop screen. Doesn't extend it right like you could with a wired monitor right?

Deal breaker? Not sure why, because it was never intended for that purpose. But no, Widi technology is not designed for extending your desktop to another monitor. There are an HDMI and a standard VGA connector for that. Its specifically designed for wirelessly sending HD content for viewing on an HDTV.

You can send your desktop to an HDTV, but it isn't suited for interactive tasks as there is a definite lag in sending the signal across wireless. Most of the receiver makers spec a 1/2 second delay in content. So what you see on the laptop screen will be delayed on the HDTV screen.
