My dad wanted a new monitor for his office, so I told him to take the 19" Sony external monitor that I am using with my laptop, and I am getting a new monitor now.

Widescreen is mandatory, WSXGA preferred (but WXGA is alright too), something more than VGA is also a must, as is Analog RGB (I want to play . Ideally, I want to spend less than $300, but up to 350 is alright if the monitor is that good. I want it to be at least 20" as well.

I really like the Dell 2007WFP, which is $289 at Costco, with a 3 year exchange policy. Any other suggestions?

You should be able to cover a 22" widescreen with that budget, which would give you 1680x1050 res. I've been very happy with my Samsung 215TW, but that's more expensive than the 22" Samsung B-series monitor. The T series has better color fidelity, nice if you have a HDTV tuner like I do but otherwise overkill.

Check the reviews of 22" and 21" monitors at Newegg:

There are some really sweet deals on well-reviewed 22" widescreens. DVDs and HDTV on a 21" wide and larger screen are amazing. See autumnwave.com if you want a USB HDTV tuner, that's what I have.

I've used two 2007FPW monitors and would highly recommend them. I ordered two, and one came with a problem with one of the USB ports. Dell immediately sent me a replacement that was perfect. None of the three have any dead pixels, and all look great. They have plenty of inputs, as well as the 4 USb ports, which are nice. The three year warranty is a definite plus as well. IMO you can't beat Dell for the price.

For office try to find a S-IPS Dell 2007FPW.
