Ive been looking around a bit but cant really find anything useful...
Anyone know of any internal solution that would offer some sort of wireless HDMI (either in my G73JH or M15X)?

I read that the Intel 6250 has wifi+bluetooth+widi, but has anyone actually ever tried to use it in a laptop not sold with it? Also anyone know where i could get one?

I use an Intel 6300 card I installed aftermarket and it works just fine with WiDi. The other 2 requirements are that you have a 1st or 2nd generation Core "i" series processor, and are using the integrated Intel HD graphics. I'm pretty sure it works with things like Optimus too, but I can't test that. Also, make sure all your drivers (WiFi and graphics) are the latest.

I think I bought my WiFi card at Newegg....

Edit: Also, the WiFi card in the computer in your sig will already do WiDi, but since your processor doesn't have the integrated graphics, you'd have to use another option....

If the requirement is using integrated Intel gpus then i cant get it to work since neither the m15x nor g73jh have the option to switch to it :(...

How about one of those wireless hdmi extenders?
Anyone know a cheap one thats just a usb dongle for the laptop + receiver and supports at least HD (1366x768) or even better FHD (1920x1080)?

Found a cheap one here if anyone is interested.
Will see if i can fit the WirelessHD card instead of the WPAN into M15x though first.

Can you explain what you mean by your second sentence? I am quite curious about adding WirelessHD to a future laptop (e.g., something like a P150HM or its successor), so I'll be eagerly following your progress.

Well the m14x, m17x and m18x all have the option of having the WirelessHD card, so since the M15x also has two card slots im probably going to try replacing the WPAN one with a WirelessHD card... but thats if i can get my hands on one and i have no confirmation if it would work... if ill do it ill let you know. Let me remind you though that most laptops dont have two slots like these AW...

Dell says it wont work as their WiHD also requires sandy just like the Intel solution :(. So much for that...
I guess ill just get an Xtreamer for wireless streaming and use the HDMI cable for the rare occasions it is needed.
