    Hi there?

My laptop hasn't got wireless on it, and I'm planing to change that

1- I'm about to buy a wireless mini pci card; which of the following do you recommand?

    a- intel pro 2200BG
    b-Broadcom BCM4306
    c-Ralink RT2500
    d-Z-com XG-602MB
    e-Inprocomm IPN 2220

2- Can I change the antenna heads to something flat that will fit behind my LCD? and of what material those heads are made (Heads are the ends of the antenna opposit to the ones that connect to the wireless module)

    Thanks

    What notebook do you own?

Make sure it has an internal mini-PCI slot for those cards. As well, I'd add the Atheros wireless card there as well.

As for the antennae, you should check how much space there is around the LCD bezel so that one will fit.

The laptop has a mini pci slot wich use currently hosting the modem's pci module.

The space betweent the screen and the back lid is big only to fit a flat antenna solution and it's wires.

Now with of the the five listed mini pci wireless module should I buy?

In my opinion, undoubtedly the Intel pro wireless chip. It is reputable, and very reliable. You could always take the modem out if you don't have space, if you never use a 56K connection.

if broadcom chipset in you router i stick with broadcom laptop

i got wrt54g winch has broadcom in work great with intel wireless card

but intel wireless utils can be memorey hog but you can just use windows builten wireless software

I've heard nothing but good things about intel's wireless card so I would suggest going with them also.
