As Intel are releasing new Core 2 Duo's, along with Mobile versions of Extreme CPU's with OC'ing, I'm wondering whether they'll still offer the T7600G for socket P motherboards, or whether they'll leave the OC'ing for the new Extreme CPU's ?

That would most likely be the case. If they are going to release extreme mobiles then they would probably shift the current high end cpu over to the extremes and provide stock options for the mainstream processor's.

Yes, I agrere with miner. Althought the processaor hasn't been named in the intital launch, it probably will make a showing later on when Santa Rosa has become present in quite a few notebooks.

Santa Rosa is boasting a Core 2 Duo T7700 that should run fairly fast.

Also, as you probably know, there are also Core 2 Extremes for the Meroms coming out later this year.
