I have a laptop which came with a core i5-460m processor and 2GB 10600 Ram module.

If i am right DDR3 10600 means its a 1333mhz ram (correct me if i am wrong)

I want to upgrade the ram to 4GB, but I can't find any 2GB 1333Mhz ram module in my local market but 1066MHz is easily available.

I have read some where that mobile core-i5 processors can work on max 1066MHz memory so my 1333MHz memory is currently under-clocked at 1066MHz right??

So, if I add a ram module with 1066MHz speed will it work in dual channel mode with the current 1333MHz module??

Or I strictly need a 1333MHz module even though I will not gey more that 1066MHz??

    Thanks

Yep you can mix ram just downclocks to the ram with the lowest rated speed

Core i5 doesn't support 1333 RAM anyway, just stick with 1066. Your system will automatically downclock clock RAM to the slowest stick.
