T5250 65 nm 2MB L2 Clock Speed 1.50 GHZ FSB 667 MHz
T5300 65 nm 2MB L2 Clock Speed 1.73 GHZ FSB 533 MHz
I had a new faulty Dell 1520 that I returned and it had the T5250 in it and I have a new customized HP DV6000T on order and it has the T5300 and I am wondering if there will be any noticeable difference between the two since the T5300 has a faster clock speed but has a slower front side bus?
Which is better in your opinion?

The T5300 will definitely be a shade slower than T5250 since it is 133 MHZ less in FSB and also by the fact that T5250 is a Santa Rosa processor which has some unique capabilites that the T5300 does not have....

In terms of general use, there won't be much of a difference between thw two processors. However, under processor intensive applications, the T5300 may pull slightly ahead, mainly because of its higher clock speed. The FSB size will only dictate performance where larger amounts of data need to be sent from and to the processor.

Real world I don't think you will see much diff. But the 1.73Ghz is faster and the slower FSB should not make much diff because slower RAM typically has lower cas latency.

Santa Rosa and the extra 133MHz will not be enough to make up for the slower clock speed, so the 5300 will be the more powerful cpu.
That said, you won't notice a difference in basic stuff. -
They are about the same, go for the cheaper one.
If it is the same price, close your eyes and pick. -

You won't notice any difference. They're performance will be almost identical.

Will I notice any difference in these 2 Processors
