    Hi everyone :)
I have problem finding answer for my question: will Toshiba's Portege M100 screen fit the M300 model?
I'm looking to replace M300 screen as it has a huge crack & found one used at reasonable price, but don't want to rush buying it as will be no refund or return. By the size & few specification it seem it would be alright, but... M100 is way older model than M300.
Could you help me out with this question? I would be grateful :)

Most likely they will not work, mainly because the motherboard to lcd cable is not going to fit.
Both screens use a different LCD ribbon cable, meaning that you are not going to be able to hook the M300 up to the M100 screen.

You can try swapping screens, but if the cable uses a different socket, youre out of luck

    Sorry for the bad news

I see, a bit risky to buy it then. What about this screen from eBay? Item no: 180222685284. The seller claims that it would fit the M100/M300 and few other models. What do you think about it?

P.S. Congratulations with your number of posts ;)

    hmmm
Well after researching a bit, both the screens use the same lcd inverter, which means that maybe the screens are swappable.

the ebay link says that the screens are compatible, but the bidding has ended.

If you have the machines, I advise taking the screens out and physically try to swap them. If the connectors are the same, awesome. If not than you have to buy a replacement screen.
