I have a Dell Inspiron 6000D. I was considering buying a sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Notebook) for its attractive digital audio out capabilities. Will a sound card, instead of the on board audio, improve the notebook's overall performance while gaming?

All sound cards do create a bit of load on the CPU and on boards a bit more, but let's face it, with today's fast CPUs that load is too insignificant. But if you're gonna be using some decent speakers this will be a good buy, it would out perform any on board.
