I am going to buy an ASUS w3j very soon and they are shipping those with the T5600 core 2 duo with 2mb cache. To swap it would be voiding my warrenty so I am thinking of sticking with the T5600.

I do work (mosly email, internet and office apps) and game (all the latest games) so I am wondering your opinions....

Will the T5600 be ok? is 2mb less cache that bad?

I plan to get a 7200rpm HD and 2 gigs of ram for it and keep the original parts so I dont void the warrenty...I am torn with the CPU though.

    Thanks!

Voiding your warranty isn't worth the difference. You won't see any major difference in games or office apps. Only really in encoding media and such. Get the fast hard drive and tons of RAM and you should be fine.
