Will my ASUS K55N accept a richland APU of the same socket?

I have a K55N that has had the video die. Not entirely dead but it goes all freaked out horizontal lines after a few minutes. I re-installed my OS to make sure that wasn't it but it keep happening even in safe mode so I am fairly certain its on the chip.

I am looking to replace the main cpu chip as its an APU and the whole this has to be replace but i was wondering what my options are in choosing which apu to purchase.

I have read that the richland cores can be dropped into the older boards but am looking for conformation on this as i don't have a lot of money for buying the wrong one.
