    My ESC key isn't working on my Asus G50vt X5. Will replacing the keyboard fix it??

    Just watch out . .there are dozens of different language keyboard options for each laptop. Ideally get a part number from the service guide or existing sticker but certainly ensure you know what you are buying on e-bay etc

    Yes, ebay can be your best friend ( price!) or your worst enemy--you could end up paying for something you didn't expect, or not getting anything for your money.

    I was deceived badly by an unscrupulous vendor who took my money and never sent the item (USB tv receiver) he promised. He gave me assurances in an email he would do the right thing, and I was gullable enough to believe him. By the time I realized he was lying, the dispute period had expired.

    Remember, there are charlatans a-plenty on ebay. So be careful

    Agree e-bay should be viewed as a rather large street market /car boot sale but my point was that even the most legitimate parts seller would have to take great care to supply the exact keyboard you need from the dozens of language specific variants UK english, american english etc etc
