    Will the Asus W3J 14.1" notebook support Intel's Merom core?

    Like posted in the title, will the Asus W3J 14.1" notebook support Intel's Merom core? It's been speculated that the A8J will allow support for the Merom, but what about the W3J? Thanks.

    I believe all dual core notebooks will be able to have merom processors. Since they use the same chipset they are compatibile and just require a simple switch.

    Yes, from what I have heard, you just pop the new Merom chip in. All newer duo motherboards should support Merom. You might need some kind of BIOS change, or something, but I'm sure that will be worked out in the future to make the switch possible.
