    It should hook up to any laptop given that you have the right outputs. Vista certified on a monitor pretty much means jack.

    Any lcd computer monitor will work with your laptop as long as you have matching video cables.
    If your laptop has a DVI port, then you will need a VGA to DVI adaptor, since that screen is a VGA monitor.
    The adaptor is like $5, so its not much.

    I have never heard of KDS, I would look into something like a cheap Samsung.

    EDIT: This screen will work with your laptop. Both are VGA. You are good to go buy the monitor

    Be Carefull with that comment :) Remember there are a few flavors of DVI, one being DVI-A and the other is DVI-D. VGA to DVI-A adapter is like $5.00 the later is much much much much more ;)
