    SSD(any GB) + HD(any GB).

I want keep all windows files in the SSD drive(enough GB for Windows OS) and rest files such as movies, musics and pictures in HD drive. Will this setup work? All I want is a fast boot and fast windows performance. By keeping all the windows system files on SSD may possible do the job???

sounds gd, ssd for windows + programs, hd for files. If you don't need too much storage, i'd wait for the higher capacity cheaper ssds that will soon be released, and just forgo the hd altogether.

I had a Sony TZ90 with a 32GB SSD for the OS and a 160GB HDD for data. Pretty perfect setup. I used windows powermanagement to switch off the HDD quickly to save some power.

I'd like to see some good comparisons between the latest 320GB 7200rpm disks by WD and Hitachi and the leading SSD's. The new HDD's might be a very efficient solution.
