You have a Studio 1735. This laptop will not work with any FSB software, on any operating system.

setfsb is compatible with Win7, so long as you correctly identify the PLL you have AND the PLL isn't running in Trusted-Mode Enabled mode (no overclocking).

In the latter case there may still be recourse. Look at the bottom of this post for hardware mods for hardware overclocking and/or disabling TME mode. Note warning about voiding your warranty.

Hey nando4, Im able to get hold of a cheap x9000 processor that i want to fit to my Dell Studio 1735.
I rang Dell Tech support and they told me that I would be able to fit it and it would work, but he didnt tell me if I would need to update my BIOS.
I know with the Dell M1730 notebooks that come out factory with the X9000 they had a overclocking feature in the Dell BIOS.
I wonder if the M1730 BIOS would work with my Studio 1735 ??????

I would not risk attempting to use the M1730 BIOS on your system. If it doesn't work, it could easily cripple your system irreparably, and you would need a new motherboard. Just update to the latest Studio 1735 BIOS and pray that it works.
