    hey guys, since im going to buy myself a new laptop soon and my main use will be for web browsing. what laptop (Brand or touchpad driver (elan, synaptics etc)) can achieve a mac like two finger scrolling?

    X1 Carbon .... its touchpad makes my Macs touchpads look pretty sad actually. we should see that touchpad or similar in a bunch of the New Lenovos and some of the portable workstations this year at the very least.

    if you are after a new laptop you should have this thread moved to WNSIB and fill out the form.

    My HP ProBook 6475b actually has a great two finger scroll thanks in part to the Synaptics touchpad and drivers. The response is very good, very sensitive but not finicky, and does not lock up or cause any weird issues of any sort. I prefer two finger scroll, although ChiralMotion Scrolling is also my favorite for long documents. Synaptics is my choice for touchpads and touchpad drivers. I've only used an Apple MacBook laptop a few times, their pinch to zoom gesture just seems so much more accurate. But you asked for two finger scroll. :p

    FYI The new Lenovo touchpads are made by Synaptics.

    My M1730 does two finger scrolling with the new synaptics drivers in Windows 7 and 8.
