    What the heck i use to get this error when vista first came out *** is this crap omg? i get it about 3-4 times a day randomly, and i have to restart then its fine again!

    Im running vista home SP1 64bit with all the latest updates etc...

    well might have to go back to ubuntu lol... i really hope i can fix this does anyone at all know how to fix this? i

    (this makes me want to rip my freaking hair off)

    if your taskbar goes out on you and you dont see anything on the bottom, then press cntrl-alt-delete, one by one and hold each one then select task manager. click new task and type in explorer.exe, and it should bring it back for u.

    Umm...u could try accessing Event Logs (right click 'My Computer'--> Manage--> Event Viewer) Expand 'Windows logs' and look under the Applications and System logs for errors; they might hint you on what exactly is causing the Explorer crashes.

    On top of that you should also scan the entire computer for viruses/malware, and also run a Windows Update. I would also monitor the programs/processes that are running using task manager, msconfig etc.
