I'm thinking of buying an Asus laptop, and I want to buy my own wireless LAN card after I get the laptop, is it possible for me to install the card onto my computer? Or is the wireless LAN card non-installable like video cards?

Yes since the Intel 4965 is a PCIe(Express) card Mini Card

Ugh, hooking up those antennas royally sucks.
As long as it's a mini-PCI-Express card, it will work.
