I've been considering getting a HP dv5t since it seems to have the features I want plus the Centrino 2 processor. However I've also read that the version of Centrino 2 out right now isn't really complete and that it will be fully released around the end of August with more features...can anyone confirm this for me and would it be good to wait until the end of the month? I've read that Dell should release the XPS 1530 with Centrino 2 around then but I dunno...it's tough to separate the speculation from the facts.

It uses the Intel Centrino 2 chipset, Penryn CPUs and Intel 5100AGN wireless card now, so I believe this is full Centrino 2.

Maybe 5200 coming? I heard Greg mention 5200? I don't get overly excited over wi-fi cards. The main benefit to waiting is more options.

The only things missing from the Centrino 2 package are the Wi-Max card and the new GM45 chipset with Intel's X4500 GMA.

Could someone PLEASE answer my question at Yahoo! Answers here or there--it doesn't matter.

It is about WIMAX capability of Centrino 2 processors in general, and more specifically about whether it would be possible to benefit from WIMAX with laptops having a Centrino 2 processor which come with a Wi-Fi only wireless module (instead of Wi-Fi/WIMAX combo module) by using a PC card/Express card et cetera.

I will really appreciate that because whether or not I will buy a laptop is depending entirely on this!
