    Would I be able to notice the difference between these two graphics cards doing regular operations?

    Would I be able to notice the difference between these two graphics cards doing regular operations?

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 w/256MB
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 w/256MB

    I know the second one is better but would I really be able to notice the difference in normal conditions. Not gaming or anything? Would I notice the difference watching a movie? When would it be apparent other than heavy gaming?

    I really need help on this. I am looking at two models with these two graphics cards with almost the exact same specs. I am not into heavy gaming at all. I play older games and I might play roller coaster tycoon every once in a while but nothing like crysis...

    When would I notice the difference other then gaming?

    When you are typing, or just using the internet, you will not see any difference between those two cards. You wont be able to see any difference watching movies either. You will only see differences when your graphics card is at full, which is generally only when gaming
    I cant even see the difference between my 4mb Matrox from 1994 and my 1Gb 3870X2 when typing.
    The differences in performance will only show in gaming, the 3650 will shine where the 3470 is weak

    No, if all you do is watching movies or surfing the internet.
    If you're not into gaming, you might consider some cheaper options like an integrated GPU, since it would give you more battery life.

    Probably never. Are they both capable of HD, movies should be the same. If you were a professional photo editor or something along those lines the 3650 would probably be better but even then not a huge difference.

    Unless your gaming or watching HD movies you will be fine with the 3450.

    My T500 handles HD movies just fine with the Intel GMA. You won't notice any difference outside of gaming or heavy graphics rendering (CAD).

    Like everyone said, if you are not a gamer, you does not need a good graphic card. Even integrated graphic card is enough.
