I have an Aspire 7720g with 4gb hyperx ram and an intel 320 120gb ssd.
My question is, would installing a 250gb seagate 5400rpm hard drive alongside the ssd slow the computer or boot up times or loading times at all?
The hdd would just be used for storage and the ssd for windows and frequent applications,
Thanks in advanced.

Nope, performance would stay the same. Now, of course the files you store on the HDD will be slower than the SSD, but the HDD won't slow the SSD down.

Ah thanks a lot, I might get either 250gb or 500gb then, was about to purchase another ssd as a secondary but this would save me about £100 lol, Thanks again.

Rule of thumb is;
OS and programs = ssd
Media = hd -
A dual drive setup with a SSD for speed and a big HDD for storage is the best solution at the moment, since SSDs are way too expensive when you want to store a bunch of games ect.

I thought is was the other way around, isn't a SSD drive better for p@rn? -
Would installing a hdd alongside an SSD slow down the computer
